UPS systems are designed to protect the load against the instabilities or interruptions in the power line. Vishay film capacitors offer a complete and competitive portfolio for these applications. As EMI filter capacitors, the compact X2 F339M, 310 VAC 110°C, with a range of capacitance up to 40 µF is recommended. For connections between line and ground, Vishay offers the Y2 BFC23386, 300 VAC 105°C series. As DC link blocking caps, Vishay offers together with aluminum capacitors the MKP1848 with a range up to 400 µF. On request higher capacitance customized solutions (i.e. 2000 µF / 1000 VDC in one box) are available. To protect IGBTs against over-voltages during switching, Vishay offers single metallized and double metallized film capacitors with 2 or 4 pins. As output capacitor, the MKP1847 for AC-filtering, 230 VAC to 350 VAC and capacitance up to 70 µF.
