Cornell Dubilier MC and MCN RF Capacitors | Digi-Key Daily

Cornell Dubilier offers their MC and MCN type multilayer RF capacitors, which are high-frequency, high-power, and high-voltage chip capacitors with nonmagnetic lead options. Rugged flexibility and compatibility with FR4 boards make these mica chip capacitors ideally suited for use where other multilayer capacitors aren’t recommended because of cracking—these capacitors exceed a 2 millimeter bend test. The natural mica dielectric retains its high-Q up to many megahertz. The nonmagnetic type MCN capacitor chips are available for MRI and other high-frequency applications that often use more expensive porcelain ceramic chips. Other features include high RF current and excellent stability, with no change with time, voltage or frequency. Applications include MRI coils and generators, ground and flight mobile radios, lasers, and more.
