Shown on this slide is a real world application example of the 9X442SL being used in a Wireless Network Attached Storage application providing the needed USB 2.0 ports for external HDD interface (such as thumb drive), and PCIe ports connecting the dual 802.11n RF ICs. The 9X442 provides PCIe port fanout because the baseband IC lacks the necessary number of PCIe ports, which is common with most of the wireless chipsets.
