Renesas FS1012 and FS2012 | DigiKey Daily
Renesas FS1012 and FS2012 are high-performance mass flow sensor modules that use the thermo-transfer principle, with gas or liquid flowing across the sensor element, rather than using a cavity that can cause clogging. The sensor uses a series of MEMS thermocouples that provide excellent SNR, with a solid thermal isolation and silicon-carbide film coating for improved wear resistance and long-term reliability. The FS1012 provides an uncablibrated millivolt-level analog output, while the FS2012 is fully calibrated and linearized and provides both a 0 to 5 V analog output and I2C digital output. The modules are assembled with a 6-pin header interface, with typical applications including monitor, detection, and control systems in industrial, healthcare, and automotive systems.
