3M PanelSafe Lockout System | DigiKey Daily

3M’s PanelSafe Lockout System mechanically prevents the movement of breaker handles from the “off” position to the “on” position with energy isolating lockout pins and complies with OSHA standard 1910.147 lockout/tagout requirements. PanelSafe is permanently mounted to the dead front of a circuit breaker panel, and pins are inserted into pre-drilled holes to lockout circuits. Single-sided and double-sided pins can lock out circuits on one or both sides of the panel. Spade and half-size spade pins offer an extended reach, while hook and cup pins lock circuits in the “on” position to prevent them from being inadvertently turned off, such as alarm or computer systems. PanelSafe is available with multiple breaker spacings, and shims and brackets are available to adapt to different panel configurations.
