It is engineered for systems such as automotive on-board chargers (OBCs), solar inverters, industrial robotics, data centers, and various other power supply units. By integrating with a recommended external transformer, the chipset delivers a complete, self-powered, and isolated gate drive system. This design is versatile enough for numerous applications and topologies, supported by a range of approved third-party transformers that cater to different drive voltages, gate charges, and isolation needs.

This chipset's design simplifies system architecture by transmitting both the PWM signal and gate bias power through the external transformer, which completely removes the need for an auxiliary bias supply or a high-side bootstrap. On the isolated secondary side, it generates a bipolar positive/negative output bias, which eliminates extra circuitry for a split supply rail and includes a selectable regulated positive rail and an adjustable negative rail for better dv/dt immunity. This integration simplifies the design, reduces EMI through lower common-mode capacitance, and allows it to drive a floating switch in any location, making it ideal for half-bridge and multi-level topologies. The chipset also features fast propagation delays, high peak source/sink current for efficient high-frequency switching, high CMTI, and a suite of integrated protection features, all within a compact 4 mm x 4 mm QFN-20 package.
