Board-Level Power Modules

Cyntec power modules are point-of-load (POL) DC/DC converters integrating controller chips, chokes, and I/O capacitors into a single power management package for step-down (buck) or step-up (boost) applications. The low profile and compact size enable significant board space savings, high-efficiency enhances application performance, and design structure allows automated assembly by standard surface-mount equipment.

Cyntec is offering space-saving, high-efficiency DC/DC modules for applications from wearable electronics to large-scale datacenters. With a proprietary 3D system-in-package technology, switching regulators are integrated with in-house optimized passive components within a miniaturized footprint. Thermal optimization and up to automotive-level reliability offer customers easy-to-use high-power density DC/DC converters. The output current of a single module ranges from 0.3 A to 60 A, with a conversion efficiency greater than 90% and footprint savings up to 50% board area.
