Ein Induktor, auch als Spule, Drossel oder Reaktor bezeichnet, ist ein passives elektrisches Bauteil mit zwei Anschlüssen, das Energie in einem Magnetfeld speichert, wenn es von elektrischem Strom durchflossen wird. Wenn sich der Strom ändert, induziert das Magnetfeld eine Spannung in den Leiter. Die induzierte Spannung besitzt eine Polarität, die der Stromänderung entgegenwirkt, die sie hervorgerufen hat. Die Einheit der Induktivität lautet Henry (H). Für die Montage stehen die Oberflächen-, Durchsteck- und Chassismontage zur Auswahl.
