Digitale Isolatoren trennen Schaltkreise elektrisch voneinander, ermöglichen aber dennoch die Übertragung digitaler Signale zwischen ihnen. Die Technologiearten sind kapazitive Kopplung, Riesenmagnetoresistiv (GMR) oder magnetische Kopplung. Die Anzahl der Kanäle reicht von 1 bis 10 und die Kanaltypen können bidirektional, unidirektional oder beides sein.
