AC/DC-Wandler wandeln eine Wechselspannung am Eingang (10 V bis 766 VAC) in eine Gleichspannung (–54,5 V bis 400 VDC) am Ausgang um. Der AC/DC-Wandler kann auf der Leiterplatte oder außerhalb davon montiert sein. Die außerhalb der Leiterplatte montierten Leistungskomponenten sind mit 1 bis 10 Ausgängen erhältlich, während die auf der Leiterplatte montierten lediglich 1 bis 3 Ausgänge bieten. Der Ausgangsstrom liegt zwischen 10 mA und 1000 A mit Nennleistungen von 1 W bis 10.080 W.
